Hi Everyone, I just had a thought. Here I sit at the end of the second day of 2010. I just had a thought...It is only by the Grace of God that this church has made it though its first year at a new location. Why is this year any different from others? This year we have had many people trying to destroy this work from the inside out. There are some who would rather lie than say anything good about anyone. What I have learned as the Pastor here, is that talking behind someone's back shows serious issues with one's spiritual and emotional maturity. I have also learned that I cannot make anyone listen, no matter how hard I try. However, I have also learned that it is not my job to make someone listen...and that it is not my responsibility if they choose not to listen. My calling is to preach the Gospel...not make people listen; if that was the case, I would be in the nut house! You may be asking Where is this wonderful grace which you called this post? The Grace is in Jesus Christ. The Grace is in the Good News from Scripture. Grace is present when we are mature enough to realize that if someone does not listen or refuses to listen that is not my problem or yours either. If someone you may be sharing the Gospel with does not listen, then remember that they will have to answer to God who created them--weather they believe in Him or Not--God believes in us God desires a relationship with us. Why not take time to appreciate an amazing Loving God who sent His own Son to be our Savior. The one same Savior who has promised to come again to bring us to His kingdom where we will rule and reign with Him for eternity. Grace Grace Wonderful Grace Flowing Down from the Father above.. Sweep over my Spirit and Love me I Pray in Fathomless billows of Love. Remember, the Love of God will never lead us where the Grace of God cannot keep us. | |
